Andrea Poffe Fellowship for Young Talents
a scholarship program which continues the legacy started by Andrea.
How to apply.
Benefits
The Fellowship will be active from the Academic Year 2021/2022, with the assignment of 1 scholarship to a new student for each academic year. Each awarded scholarship will cover the entire study cycle at the Politecnico di Milano, whether three-year or single cycle.
The winner will benefit from a scholarship, not as an outlay of money, but instead to directly cover the expenses of:
100% enrollment at the Politecnico di Milano reduction, full coverage
80% of the Collegio di Milano tuition reduction, with student co-financing equal to 20%.
The scholarship will continue for the entire three-year or single-cycle study cycle, with the following conditions:
Meeting the requirements of the Collegio di Milano, illustrated on the web page https://www.collegiodimilano.it/ammissioni/ and in relation to the Training Agreement: https://www.collegiodimilano.it/application-contatti/
Participating in events and testimonies related to the promotion of the Fellowship project, sharing experience, ambitions and reflections where appropriate.
Recipients & criteria
Eligibility is for students from any background:
Currently attending the last year of secondary school
Reporting an overall average degree of at least 8/10 considering in their entirety the first 4 years of the Italian secondary school, or foreign equivalent
Intending to enroll at the Politecnico di Milano in the first year of any degree or single cycle course, by October 30th
Successfully passing the selection process of the Collegio di Milano.
Criteria
Among the applications of all eligible Recipients, the ranking for the assignment of the Scholarships will be based on the following criteria:
Up to 100 points for the selection at the Collegio di Milano, bound to the minimum score for this criterion of 60/100 required for admission.
Up to 50 points for the essay evaluated by the Commission, bound to the minimum score for this criterion equal to 30/50.
Up to 50 points for the ISEE economic condition indicator, with no minimum restrictions. The choice not to declare the ISEE-University in the admission application will be considered equivalent to the declaration of an ISEE-University value exceeding 100,000 euros.
Only in the event of a tie, the selection will take place based on the criterion of the candidate resident at the greatest distance as the crow flies from the headquarters of the Collegio di Milano.
Selection
The application process requires writing an essay of maximum 500 words, according to the free interpretation of the theme:
My ambition: what I would like to achieve in my professional and / or personal life.
The evaluation will take into account the relevance with respect to Andrea Poffe's legacy values, for example: entrepreneurial spirit, contribution to society, transformative potential.

Commission
The Commission will be composed of 5 representatives with the right to vote, appointed by:
Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi
Alumni Association of the Collegio di Milano
Politecnico di Milano
Family of Andrea Poffe, with prevailing vote in the event of a tie
Friends of Andrea, indicated by the family of Andrea Poffe.
The lead sponsor will also have the right to contribute to the meetings of the Commission and access to the related working documents.
The evaluation of the candidacies will not be based on race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, wealth, birth or any other element and / or circumstance that could even potentially determine a discriminatory effect.
All candidates who have participated in the Call will be notified of the outcome by e-mail. Admission is at the discretion of the Commission.
